From the President

Greetings and welcome to the ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter website!

As one of seventeen chapters of the Art Libraries Society of North America, the Texas-Mexico Chapter strives to foster communication and collaboration among the diverse groups of professionals in art librarianship, visual resources, and interrelated disciplines.

To promote continual professional development and encourage connections between colleagues, the Chapter meets semi-annually, once in the spring at the ARLIS/NA Annual Conference (to be held this year in Salt Lake City, Utah) and once in the fall at the Chapter Meeting (to be held this year in Houston, Texas). These meetings provide invaluable opportunities to stay abreast of activities and developing practices in the academic and art information fields, as well as incite exploration of the cultural heritage and landscape of host cities.

Throughout the year, we stay connected via our Chapter listserv, and by sharing in the Chapter newsletter, The Medium.

I hope you’ll take a moment to subscribe to the listserv, read the Chapter newsletter, and join our membership (if you haven’t yet)!

All best,
Sunyoung Park
President, ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter
