From the President

HelenLueders

Hello and welcome to the ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter website!

We are one of seventeen chapters within the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA). The goals of our chapter are to promote collaboration and communication among art information professionals and students in Texas and Mexico. Our chapter’s mission statement can be found here: https://texas-mexico.arlisna.org/about/

Chapter members meet twice a year, at the two business meetings. The spring meeting is held during the Annual ARLIS/NA National Conference (April 5-9, 2022 in Chicago). The annual fall meeting is a chapter-specific event and an excellent opportunity to meet and network with colleagues across the region, learn about the current activities and projects of fellow members, and visit cultural institutions in the host city. In 2022, our chapter hosted a joint in-person meeting with the ARLIS/NA 2023 Conference planning committee in Mexico City, August 8-11, 2022, and held a virtual business meeting on October 18, 2022.

To keep up with the news and activities related to the chapter, join Humanities Commons, check the News tab, and read the chapter newsletter, The Medium.

More information about joining or renewing chapter membership can be found here

Sincerely,

Helen Lueders
